Some say we never had winter. It doesn’t matter to me. Time to start thinking spring, which means gathering sunscreen and stuff and pulling out grills and patio gear. Then don’t forget to glance at new spring “pretties” in area shops as well. Yippee, I am ready, let’s hit the spring trails.

Enjoy,

Jenna

1. Wheeler Wellness Center & Spa (116 Lone Oak Rd., Paducah, 270-534-5641) is the new “hot” spot to find healthy sun and skin care products, such as Franche’ vitamin and mineral makeup and Platinum Protection Sunscreen, by Theraderm, which has no oil and can be worn under makeup.

While at Wheeler’s, don’t forget to book a session from a wide range of treatments to help prepare your body for spring and summer. Also check out All About Me Boutique, which carries gifts and accessories. Shown are pieces with vibrant colors and bold shapes from designer Romero Britto.

2. Head straight to Hank Bros. True Value (3525 Wayne Sullivan Drive, Paducah -270.443.8236 or 3101 Lone Oak Road, Lone Oak - 270-554-4001) for springtime necessities. You just can’t beat the top-of-the line Genesis Grill by Weber. Both of Hank’s Stores have a variety of models of grills and accessories for your choosing. While there, check out another favorite outdoor item, the popular outdoor fireplace. Featured here is a popular laser-cut model by Good Directions.

3. Cross over the river to Dress It Up Boutique (704 East 5th Street, Suite 2, Metropolis - 618.524.141) for the Vera Bradley/Brighton/Unique Apparel specialists. They are unloading shipments daily with new spring patterns and designs, including new spring favorites Rosy Posies, Ellie Blue, Camellia and Island Blooms. VERA! Plus, do you know Light Hearted Brighton Bangles are the IT thing?
