Never say never. Grab a fellow and head for your favorite shop, or try looking for treasures some place new for a change-of-pace. Recently my longtime friend, Bill Black Jr., went shopping with me. Plenty of excitement followed. Now it’s your turn.

Enjoy,

Jenna

1. First stop was Hooper’s (219 Broadway, Paducah) for Bill to try on a new discovery for his feet. Fivefingers (by vibram) is an innovative approach to footwear that is most recognized as “those shoes with individual toes.” What? Individual toes? Bill was surprised at the comfort of the shoes. His big delight surfaced upon getting a chance to try a Hobie Kayak on for size. There are few places in the area offering the “Mirage Revolution” options. Notice that smile on Bill’s face.

2. Next nifty stop: HB & Co. (3128 Broadway, Paducah) was a chance for Bill to say, “Mirror, Mirror...” and the results were doubly awesome with Bill in a suit jacket from the Jack Victor Collection. What joy to examine such a large selection of gorgeous pure silk bow ties. If only I knew how to tie one...

3. Last but not least: Paducah Shooter’s Supply (3919 Cairo Road, Paducah) was an introduction to everything from boots to sunglasses with a built in camera. Yes, there was just about any kind of boot, from the popular Columbia Rubber Boots to the more artistic LaCrosse Footwear, which features art on the outside of the boots. Shooters also has the Woody Max, which is the “Original Muck” boot. The I Kam X-treme Video and Audio Eyewear sunglasses are used to capture important moments. Consider using a pair of these glasses to record when you decide to take a man shopping.
